The lives of many heart attack victims can be saved if a defibrillator is used within the first few minutes following the attack. Bawdsey is to have its own public access defibrillator provided by a British Heart Foundation/Government scheme, which will be installed outside the Village Hall. These devices are automatic and can be used by anyone without previous experience. However, training gives more confidence and training sessions will be arranged once the defibrillator has been installed.
